Asinan & Rujak

 Asinan Bogor

Asinan is some kind of pickled (through brined or vinegared) vegetables or fruits dish. The term asin is Indonesian word for "salty", which explain the process of preserving the ingredients through soaking it in the solution of salt water. There are many types and variations of asinan, and above is the infamous Asinan Bogor.

Fruit Rujak

Fruit rujak consists of slices of assorted tropical fruits such as water apple, pineapple, raw mangoes, jicama, cucumber, kedondong, and raw sweet potato. All of the fruits are sliced to bite-size and mixed with thick sweet spicy dressing (made with palm sugar, sauteed peanuts and chili).
